Restoration of art objects made of bronze, brass, copper, tin, etc.

Depending on the type of metal objects to be restored, we generally differentiate between 2 different repair methods: Method 1 Use for metal alloys where soldering or welding processes are possible: The well-known lost wax process is used to fill in defects. Breakpoints are permanently either soldered or welded, depending on the alloy. The surface finish is our greatest strength. If you want to see your defective metal objects exactly as before, without any traces of restoration, then this method is just right for you. Method 2 Use for very old metal objects: With many older metal objects, soldering or welding is no longer possible. In this case, we work to fill in imperfections with artificial metals. Break points are cold-welded. We have continuously developed the techniques over the years and they have proven to be very effective. Our artificial metals are deceptively similar to the originals (bronze, brass, copper, tin, etc.), bond with the old metal permanently and in most cases more stable or more resistant than the old metal. Above all, our metal restorations are absolutely invisible. We are able to invisibly restore almost any damage to metal objects. We would be happy to provide you with a non-binding cost estimate. Would you like to know more about the quality of our work? Then read the feedback from our customers on Google and in the guest book about the restoration of their art objects.

Examples of restoration of works of art made of metal:

The lecture cross of the Catholic parish of St. Bonifatius in Seeheim-Jugenheim is a very heavy specimen on a relatively thin "stem" made of cast bronze. After a fall, this handle was broken, making the cross unusable. The parts were expertly soldered back together in Ario's studio. The soldering point is color-matched so that you can only see it if you know where to look. It was all over a year ago and I can say: it holds perfect, even seems more stable to me
